Direct primary care (DPC) is a simple idea: you pay your doctor a flat monthly membership, and in return you get unhurried, relationship-based primary care without insurance in the middle. No copays, no coding, no ten-minute visits. Just your doctor, your time, and a price you can see.

Is this health insurance?
No. Foothill Family Medicine is a direct primary care membership — a flat monthly fee for your primary care. It is not insurance and does not cover hospital, specialist, or emergency care. Most members keep a high-deductible health plan alongside their membership.
Can I use my HSA to pay for membership?
As of 2026, many people can pay direct primary care fees from their HSA. We keep a plain-English explainer at howtohsa.com. Confirm your own situation with your tax advisor.
Do I have to leave my current doctor to join?
No. Many members join Foothill for their everyday primary care while keeping other providers. We're happy to coordinate.
